We believe it is important for all young people to play sports or at least be active. You see only half the kids in our gym play sport, but whether they play sport or not, the outcomes are still the same. Create an environment that helps them build the strength, body awareness and confidence to excel in life, AND in sport. Because within every kid there lies an inner athlete, keen to test themselves to be the best version of themselves.

Every young person develops at different rates, however, the studies now show that quality strength and conditioning does NOT stunt our kids growth, but if they don’t start in their early teens, they will actually never reach the same physical potential.
Working with great athletes makes you understand that character is what makes great athletes, and great people. And character is derived from behavioural traits. Coaching this way not only gives our young people an opportunity to reach the highest level possible, but it enables them to become resiliant, capable humans with the ability to handle the challenges of today’s society.

We get just as much of a kick out of seeing our kids kick goals in life as much as in the sporting arena. This has a direct positive effect on their physical and mental health. If we can build an early connection to movement and a gym, we encourage a lifelong love of physical activity which lays the foundations for their journey ahead.

How the Program Works.

Regardless of whether you’re 8yrs old or an elite athlete, we get to know and understand all of our clients so we can build a picture of you and how we can help. We get to know you and understand your needs and aspirations. A personal approach results in a more personal outcome.

Our Athlete Programs ALWAYS begin with Screening and Performance Testing. By creating an athlete profile, we gain an insight into areas that need the most attention and where we can make the most difference.

During your testing session, your performance will be measured across a few different standards:

+ Skill, Coordination & Balance
+ Strength

+ Speed
+ Fitness

We have a set of targets for all our athletes to work towards, and at the end of every twelve weeks we retest and assess your progress. From this your coach will work with you to ensure you continue moving in the direction you want.

After assessing your age (both training age and actual age), your development, and your testing results, we assign you a program or group that suits you. Our programs are designed to flow so that you progress from one to the next.

Our Foundation program is for those new to training. This program is to help develop the strong foundations for capable human as well as athlete and is designed around body weight training. You’ll learn to use your body efficiently and effectively as well as how to jump and land with precision and confidence.

Our Junior program is for those who have reached ‘Foundation’ level on the Junior Targets. Under supervision, they are able to start mastering the core elements around movements, health and mindset which define great athletes and great humans. We increase elements such as loads, complexity of movement, volume, or intensity. This is where we really start building the base to create strong, mobile and powerful athletes.

Our High-Performance program is where we help our athletes build the body and attributes they need to be phenomenal movers and perform at their best. We prepare you for competition and give you access to programs and information to maximise performance. This is for both amateur and elite athletes. We only require you to want to do the work.

All programs are designed specifically for each training group. Once you enter the High-Performance group, you have an individualised program and a personal coach working with you to develop the habits and training you require to perform at your best.

Youth Strong

A strength and conditioning program specifically designed for kids and teenagers, enabling them to adapt to any challenge or environment.

Confidence. That’s the number one thing the parents that contact us want for their kids. 

Behind that is strength, fitness and flexibility. We’re here to give them an amazing gym experience and start building a positive relationship with gyms, training and self-improvement. 

Seeing kids stuck to social media or gaming kills us. And training is the perfect remedy. Making movement fun, and even a goal, while educating them about the importance of exercise, nutrition and health an experiential level is our goal. 

We start them off building the foundations, because without strong foundations, the whole building comes down. That means movement competency. We focus on motor patterns and physical literacy so. they never progress unless they are assessed competent. All kids who start training with us start in this program learn the basics of bodyweight training, light weight training, and how to safely and confidently get stronger and fitter in the gym.

They are taken through our foundations 12-week program which delivers amazing results, and then unleash them into discovering their potential, ALWAYS under the supervision of the coaches. 

This program is designed as the perfect start for 11-16yr olds who want to get fitter, stronger and become more confident versions of themselves.

    These sessions are the foundation youth athlete development program at Cornerstone.

    All kids who start training with us start in this program to learn the basics of bodyweight training, light weight training, and how to safely and confidently get stronger and fitter in the gym.

      High Performance

      For +16yrs or those who have come through our youth foundation program, our High-Performance program is where we take athletes from good to great. 

      We prepare you for competition and give you access to programs and information to maximise performance. We help athletes find the answers by bullet-proofing their body, creating balanced strong athletes who have the confidence to go and execute knowing they’ve done the work. 

      This program is designed for athletes who have a goal of playing high level sport. We work with a variety of athletes from different sports that require speed and power to be successful including Football, League, Hockey, Swimming, Netball, Basketball, Track and Field, various marital arts and well, let’s face it, every other sport.

      Knowing the sacrifices and schedule that these athletes have for their chosen sports, we focus on complementing their sports training with specific programming to improve strength, power, prevent injuries and return from injury. We fill the gaps in your armour and build on your strengths using an individualised programs with challenging athletic sessions designed to boost power, strength and performance

      What you get:

      • 2 or Unlimited group training access.
      • Up to 4 sessions per week to choose from.

        Clubs & Teams

        If you are a sporting team or Club looking to improve your mobility, movement, speed and power, conditioning or professionalism, then we have the ability to deliver a high-level program specifically for your group.

        We work with coaches, teams and entire clubs to provide S&C services to suit any budget.

        We can provide both field and gym sessions to optimise your teams training and recovery throughout the year. We also provide sessions to vary up your teams training, during wet weather or customise a complete season program for your athlete’s entire season (from off-season through to finals).

        Suitable to any sport, age or level. We adapt the program specifically for you and is a must to improve your performances and remain competitive on the field.
